LEAD SCRAP AND RECYCLING
These lead alloys are known for the anti-corrosion, anti-abrasion and longevity. Most of the lead scrap is collected as lead cable stripping and flashing/roofing lead sheets from the buildings.
Lead is known for one of the highest recycling rates, even more than aluminium, copper, zinc, newspaper and glass.
Application of recycled lead :
- Half hard and hard lead – friction parts, bearings, slides, nuts, sockets
- Leaded bronze – oilless bearings, chemical industries, ring immersed bearings, machine bearings, bolts, nuts, bush, circeplings, ballpoint pens
